Managed Futures CTA | Full-Time | Commission-Based
Position Summary
R Best LLC is seeking an experienced Business Development Director to lead capital-raising efforts for our systematic managed futures strategies. This individual will be responsible for sourcing, cultivating, and converting relationships with family offices, RIAs, wealth managers, institutional consultants, introducing brokers, and qualified high-net-worth investors.
The ideal candidate has a strong network within the alternative investment industry, a demonstrated track record of raising assets, and a deep understanding of managed futures, alternative investments, and portfolio diversification.
Primary Responsibilities
· Develop and execute the firm’s capital-raising strategy
· Source and qualify prospective investors and intermediary relationships.
· Schedule and conduct introductory meetings, presentations, and due diligence calls.
· Build relationships with:
- o Family offices
- o Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs)
- o Wealth management firms
- o Institutional consultants
- o Introducing brokers
- o High-net-worth investors
· Maintain a robust pipeline using CRM software.
· Coordinate investor communications and follow-up activities.
· Represent the firm at conferences, industry events, and investor meetings.
· Work closely with senior management to refine marketing materials and investor messaging.
· Provide ongoing market intelligence and feedback regarding investor preferences and industry trends.
· Assist with investor onboarding and relationship management.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree required.
· 5+ years of institutional sales, capital raising, business development, or alternative investment sales experience.
· Strong understanding of managed futures, hedge funds, alternatives, or asset management.
· Proficient in use of industry tools for expansion of allocator relationships to accelerate growth in AUM.
· Existing relationships within the allocator community.
· Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage a long sales cycle.
· Experience using CRM and sales automation tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Apollo, or Lemlist.
· Series 3 license
Preferred Experience
· Managed futures / CTA experience.
· Alternative investment sales experience.
· Family office and RIA distribution experience.
· Existing network of allocators and investment professionals.
